Estos animales hab\u00edan sido criados en cautiverio durante aproximadamente 50 a\u00f1os, reproduci\u00e9ndose a lo largo del tiempo.<\/p>\n<p>Tras su entrega al equipo de la Direcci\u00f3n de Conservaci\u00f3n, las tortugas fueron trasladadas a una veterinaria especializada, donde el Dr. Aldo Olivares evalu\u00f3 su estado sanitario y determin\u00f3 que se encuentran en buenas condiciones. A partir de ahora, ser\u00e1n examinadas para definir su posible reinserci\u00f3n en un h\u00e1bitat adecuado. Para ello, pasar\u00e1n por un periodo de cuarentena y posteriormente ser\u00e1n sometidas a un proceso de rehabilitaci\u00f3n con el objetivo de evaluar su retorno a un ambiente natural.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"intertitulo\">Una especie en peligro y la importancia de la entrega voluntaria<\/h2>\n<p>La tortuga terrestre argentina es una especie distribuida en Argentina, Bolivia y Paraguay, categorizada como Vulnerable por la Uni\u00f3n Internacional para la Conservaci\u00f3n de la Naturaleza (UICN). Sus poblaciones est\u00e1n en declive debido a la caza furtiva y el comercio ilegal, principalmente para su uso como mascotas.<\/p>\n<p>Muchas personas adquieren fauna silvestre sin conocer las leyes ambientales o los efectos negativos que esto genera en la biodiversidad. La Secretar\u00eda de Ambiente recuerda que tener estos animales en casa no solo es ilegal, sino que compromete su bienestar y supervivencia.<\/p>\n<p>Si alguien posee un animal silvestre en su hogar, puede entregarlo de manera voluntaria para garantizar su recuperaci\u00f3n y evitar mayores da\u00f1os al ecosistema.
