La oposici\u00f3n y facciones del oficialismo hab\u00edan logrado consenso en el Parlamento para avanzar con el juicio pol\u00edtico en su contra en la C\u00e1mara Alta.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La crisis bancaria deriv\u00f3 en crisis pol\u00edtica total: el presidente de Paraguay, Santiago Pe\u00f1a, renunci\u00f3 a su cargo este jueves en medio del colapso por la intervenci\u00f3n y cierre de Ueno Bank.<\/p>\n<p>Pe\u00f1a tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n pocas horas antes de ser sometido a un juicio pol\u00edtico en el Congreso. La oposici\u00f3n hab\u00eda presentado el libelo acusatorio por mal desempe\u00f1o, falta de control y responsabilidad en la ca\u00edda de la entidad financiera digital con la que el propio mandatario hab\u00eda mantenido v\u00ednculos.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan trascendi\u00f3 en Asunci\u00f3n, la oposici\u00f3n y facciones del Parlamento, incluido el oficialista Partido Colorado que le solt\u00f3 la mano, lograron el consenso clave para que el proceso de destituci\u00f3n avanzara en la C\u00e1mara Alta. Ante la p\u00e9rdida de apoyo y con miles de manifestantes en las calles, Pe\u00f1a opt\u00f3 por dar un paso al costado.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abQuiero pedir disculpas al pueblo del Paraguay y a quienes confiaron en el sistema financiero\u00bb, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el mandatario en su mensaje de renuncia.<\/p>\n<p>La dimisi\u00f3n llega tras d\u00edas de tensi\u00f3n extrema: la intervenci\u00f3n dispuesta el martes por el Banco Central dej\u00f3 sin acceso a su dinero a casi tres millones de clientes, provoc\u00f3 protestas masivas frente a las sucursales y al Congreso, reprimidas con gases lacrim\u00f3genos y camiones hidrantes, y forz\u00f3 la salida del titular del Banco Central, Carlos Carvallo.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ahora el Congreso deber\u00e1 aceptar la renuncia y definir la sucesi\u00f3n.
