Est\u00e1 situado a unos <strong>18 kil\u00f3metros del suroeste de la Antigua Guatemala<\/strong> y a entre 40 y 50 kil\u00f3metros de la Ciudad de Guatemala.<\/p>\n<p><iframe font-w-bold text-subheading-lg text-left container-center-100 mb-8\"><span>San Miguel Los Lotes: el pueblo sepultado en 2018 por el Volc\u00e1n del Fuego<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"com-paragraph --s\"><strong>San Miguel Los Lotes<\/strong> era una aldea ubicada en el departamento de <strong>Escuintla<\/strong>, en Guatemala, a <strong>nueve kil\u00f3metros al sureste del Volc\u00e1n de Fuego.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"content-media\">\n<section role=\"button\" class=\"mod-media   \">\n<figure role=\"button\" tabindex=\"0\" class=\"mod-figure \"><figcaption class=\"mod-figcaption\"><span class=\"com-text --caption --twoxs\">Las rocas volc\u00e1nicas se extienden alrededor de un \u00e1rea que qued\u00f3 sepultada despu\u00e9s de la erupci\u00f3n del volc\u00e1n Fuego en San Miguel Los Lotes en Escuintla<\/span><span class=\"com-text --credit --twoxs\">Carlos Jasso &#8211; Reuters<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"com-paragraph --s\">En junio de 2018, fue una de las zonas m\u00e1s impactadas por <strong>una de sus erupciones y sus posteriores flujos pirocl\u00e1sticos masivos<\/strong>, los cuales descendieron por la barranca a <strong>temperaturas de hasta<\/strong> <strong>700\u00b0C (1292\u00b0F). <\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"com-paragraph --s\">Dichos flujos inundaron campos y <strong>enterraron viviendas hasta el nivel de los techos.<\/strong> El parte oficial indic\u00f3 que el <strong>80% de los fallecidos tras la erupci\u00f3n del volc\u00e1n proven\u00eda de la localidad, <\/strong>seg\u00fan la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/mundo\/noticias-america-latina-44365470\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/mundo\/noticias-america-latina-44365470\" pel\u00edcula.<\/strong> Yo logr\u00e9 rescatar a un hijo, pero la mayor\u00eda de las personas <strong>se qued\u00f3 enterrada<\/strong>\u201d, dijo Walter Am\u00edlcar Mijangos, uno de los
