Left-wing lawmaker Myriam Bregman is the political figure with the highest positive approval rating in Argentina, according to a new survey.<\/p>\n
Bregman, 54, emerged with 47 percent positive approval from the poll carried out by the Brazilian consultancy firm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Partido de los Trabajadores Socialistas lawmaker, who is part of the Frente de Izquierda y de los Trabajadores\u2013Unidad (FIT-U) coalition, was the only politicalian of the 15 national figures assessed to have a net positive rating. It stood at just one percent, however, giving her a negative reading of 46 percent.<\/p>\n
Trailing Bregman was Buenos Aires Province Governor Axel Kicillof in second with a 46 percent positive rating and former president Cristina Fern\u00e1ndez de Kirchner in third with 41 percent. Both had net negative readings, with Kicillof on minus three percent and his former boss on minus 12 percent.<\/p>\n
President Milei, whose approval ratings helped him top the monthly Atlas Intel poll until late 2025, scored 36 percent positive and 62 percent negative in this survey, placing him fifth, one place behind his party ally, La Libertad Avanza Senator Patricia Bullrich.<\/p>\n
The others tracked, in order of position, was Lower House Speaker Mart\u00edn Menem, former Peronist presidential candidate Sergio Massa, ex-president Mauricio Macri, presidential adviser Santiago Caputo and Buenos Aires City Mayor Jorge Macri.<\/p>\n
The lowest ranking politicians (worst to best) were ex-president Alberto Fern\u00e1ndez, former Buenos Aires City mayor Horacio Rodr\u00edguez Larreta, C\u00f3rdoba deputy Juan Schiaretti, Presidential Chief-of-Staff Karina Milei and Vice-President Victoria Villarruel.<\/p>\n
The poll also asked respondents for their opinion on the government\u2019s performance: 59.3 percent rated it \u201cpoor\/very poor,\u201d 30.6 percent said \u201cexcellent\/good\u201d and 10.1 percent chose \u201caverage.\u201d<\/p>\n
Those surveyed were asked about Javier Milei\u2019s performance as president: 63 percent disapproved, while 35.5 percent approved.<\/p>\n
Atlas Intel\u2019s reputation has been boosted in recent years after it was the only consultancy firm to predict Milei\u2019s victory in both the 2023 primaries and the run-off presidential election of the same year.<\/p>\n
The firm\u2019s survey was conducted between April 24 and 28 and consulted more than 4,800 respondents online.\u00a0<\/p>\n
