En este marco, la fonoaudi\u00f3loga Carolina Salguero brind\u00f3 una explicaci\u00f3n sobre c\u00f3mo entender este fen\u00f3meno m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los prejuicios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo comienza siendo un trastorno\u201d, aclar\u00f3 Salguero. \u201cComienza siendo un rasgo de tu forma de hablar. Es la manera en que tu cerebro proces\u00f3 tu habla. Ten\u00e9s una forma diferente de hablar, y diferente no significa mal ni bien, simplemente es\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La especialista explic\u00f3 que la tartamudez es un comportamiento verbal, es decir, algo que se manifiesta en la forma de hablar, pero que tambi\u00e9n involucra aspectos emocionales y sociales. \u201cTartamudear es lo que se ve, pero tambi\u00e9n lo que no se ve. Lo que no se ve est\u00e1 ligado a la experiencia de vida de cada persona que tartamudea\u201d, agreg\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan detall\u00f3, puede convertirse en un trastorno cuando la comunicaci\u00f3n se ve interrumpida o desvalorizada. \u201cCuando me interrumpen, cuando me completan lo que quiero decir, cuando me ignoran o no me piden mi opini\u00f3n, ah\u00ed la comunicaci\u00f3n se rompe\u201d, explic\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Salguero remarc\u00f3 que las personas que tartamudean pueden hablar y alzar su voz, pero necesitan un entorno que respete sus tiempos y formas. \u201cHay que dar el espacio. Las personas que tartamudean tienen mucho que decir y no debemos contribuir como sociedad a que esto se instale como un trastorno\u201d, subray\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p>Finalmente, destac\u00f3 que hablar de tartamudez es necesario para derribar estigmas y generar comprensi\u00f3n. \u201cNo se trata solo de una alteraci\u00f3n de la fluidez.
