Seg\u00fan explic\u00f3 el presidente del organismo, Jos\u00e9 Luis Beltr\u00e1n, se enviaron tramos de ca\u00f1er\u00edas a la Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, en Mendoza, donde se est\u00e1n llevando a cabo las pruebas necesarias para garantizar su funcionamiento seguro.<\/p>\n<p>Acorde a lo que explic\u00f3 Beltr\u00e1n, las ca\u00f1er\u00edas de polietileno de alta densidad (PAD) no presentaron da\u00f1os aunque s\u00ed hubo dificultades en las uniones. \u00abEl cuerpo del ca\u00f1o no present\u00f3 fallas, pero las uniones hechas por electro fusi\u00f3n s\u00ed nos dieron problemas, por lo que se reemplazaron por uniones mediante termo fusi\u00f3n\u201d, detall\u00f3 el presidente.<\/p>\n<p>En lo que respecta a al proceso de evaluaci\u00f3n, el funcionario indic\u00f3 que los ensayos incluyen pruebas de presi\u00f3n hidr\u00e1ulica con cargas superiores a las que soportar\u00e1n durante su operaci\u00f3n habitual. Los resultados que se obtengan en Mendoza definir\u00e1n si se contin\u00faa utilizando este tipo de material o si es necesario adoptar otras medidas.<\/p>\n<p>En caso de obtener resultados negativos,\u00a0Beltr\u00e1n enfatiz\u00f3 que no ser\u00e1 necesario empezar desde cero debido a que lo avanzado con la obra ya ten\u00eda su visto nuevo.\u00a0\u00abLa ca\u00f1er\u00eda que est\u00e1 enterrada ya fue ensayada y aprobada. Se volver\u00e1n a realizar pruebas en todos los sectores, y en funci\u00f3n de eso, la Universidad nos confirmar\u00e1 si las uniones son efectivas. No queremos arriesgarnos a tener problemas; esto es un reaseguro propio de una nueva gesti\u00f3n<\/p>\n<p>El Acueducto Gran Tulum busca garantizar el acceso al agua potable a m\u00e1s de un mill\u00f3n de personas en el futuro. La obra tiene como prop\u00f3sito mejorar la cobertura y el servicio en todo el Gran San Juan, as\u00ed como anticiparse al crecimiento demogr\u00e1fico en la regi\u00f3n. \u201cNo queremos asumir riesgos.
